African American History in Williamsburg

Slaves to freedmen, craftsmen to businessmen, African Americans comprised half of the city’s population in the 18th century.

Join us for an exploration of that experience and its importance to the building of Williamsburg — the city’s ONLY tour dedicated solely to Black History.

(Tour time: approx. 90 minutes.)
