I’ve taken three of this company’s tours with Trish and they’ve been fascinating, educational, and viewpoint-changing experiences. Trish is well-spoken and passionate and has a bottomless source of historical fact that is very often stunning and thought provoking. I highly recommend that you book a tour, or four, with Trish, especially if you’re new to the area. Visitors will enjoy it, too.

Trish was very knowledgeable about Virginia history and shared her stories in an engaging manner that we truly enjoyed. My husband and I loved how she tied the stories of this country, state, and city together, using the lives and events that took place here over the past two hundred some odd years. It was a lovely tour.

I, myself, am a tour guide and so I can say with some authority that this tour is excellent! Our guide, Trish, was engaging and funny and had command of the content. The tour was a good mixture of history, architecture, big picture narratives and day-to-day stories. Pacing was great. My wife and I loved the tour and want to take the companies other tours as well!

We took the "Christmas past/present walking tour with Trish and it was terrific! As a teacher I was impressed by her use of primary source material from which she occasionally read as we strolled around Colonial Williamsburg. She was a fount of knowledge about the area and its 18th century inhabitants. A member of our group was a descendant of a prominent family in 18th century Williamsburg and Trish did a wonderful job tying that into the tour on the fly. I highly recommend this tour!

Colonial Williamsburg African American Walking Tour We did the Williamsburg African American history walking tour with Trish this past Sunday, and I must say our guide truly made history come alive. Her knowledge of the intricate detail of colonial life and the African American experience was comprehensive, detail oriented and extremely fun! Trish’s made complex topics very easy for my 12 year old to appreciate and understand, but sophisticated enough to awe each of the adults on the tour! Don’t miss this tour on your trip to Williamsburg!
